Below is a list of some of the training gear that I want to purchase for supplemental training outside of the gym.

Bulgarian Bag

The Bulgarian Bag is a training device that was created by Coach Ivan Ivanov who was a Greco-Roman Olympic wrestler in 1996 and a coach to world class wrestlers and athletes.

The Bulgarian bag is a great device to work on grappling specific skills that I have struggled to replicate outside of the dojo.

Below is an interview with Ivan that describes how to use the Bulgarian Bag for training

Wrestling Mats

At home it is hard to get a full experience of training without some type of mat to roll on.  I find that if I don’t have a good mat to train on, certain exercises are difficult to do such as:  solo drills, stretching, turkish get-ups, etc.

Mats are not cheap and have several options from high quality roll out Dollamur mats, to cheap foam interlocking squares.  On my wish list is the mat below.
